James S. Senall, Managing Director
Jim Senall currently serves as Managing Director, Business Development at Greater Rochester Enterprise, with responsibility for growing the region’s emerging business sector. In this capacity, Jim is also the Director and a Board Member of the Rochester Angel Network, a group of accredited investors interested in seed and early stage business opportunities.
Jim’s responsibilities at GRE include working to improve the local startup infrastructure and entrepreneurial culture to facilitate increased numbers and success rates of startup companies, as well as long-range strategic planning to identify emerging industries for regional growth. Jim is currently leading GRE efforts to create and grow a vibrant alternative energy sector in the region.
Prior to joining GRE in 2003, Jim was involved with several startup ventures including high tech firms and a venture capital fund, and had additional experience working for TYCO Electronics.
Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA from University of Rochester, Simon School.
